is a diverse group of creative and strategic thinkers who are
future thinking, detail-orientated and solution focused. They are
at the forefront of performance and lifestyle footwear and aware of
macro trends and how this relates to the sportswear industry. They
are strong communicators and collaborators who value and develop
their cross functional relationships. A day in the life:
- Partner with team in creating Lululemon footwear design
DNA
- We expect this creative to be an innovative, proven designer
who can ideate and manage the design process through collaboration
in a fast-paced environment
- Expert understanding of employing footwear design and
construction techniques; appropriate use of materials, extensive
knowledge and full understanding of product design and development
including outsole construction, last making, materials, color,
etc
- Stay current on footwear trends, industry capabilities, and
innovative future footwear opportunities
- Possess strong verbal and visual execution skills to
communicate design vision
- Due to the nature of a small team, you are going to need to be
able to "wear multiple hats" to accomplish product objectives and
deliverables
- Collaborate effectively with cross functional partners such as
Material Design, Color Design, 3D, Product Development, Wear
Testing and Merchandising
- Provide a strong POV and support design direction and execution
for seasonal design collections and enterprise connections
- Show up as a leader, mentor and pillar in our design
community
- Travel 15% of the time
- In office minimum 3 days/week Qualifications:
- 7-10 years footwear design experience
- BA, BFA or BS in Design required (or equivalent)
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Keynote,
Microsoft Office, Mac platform
- An understanding in 3D design and/or making/building would be a
benefit
- An understanding of sustainable practices would be a benefit

Compensation and Benefits Package lululemon's compensation
offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that
recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical
hiring range for this position is from $116,400 - 152,800 annually;
the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary
depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and
internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent
employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive
annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
