In short, you help to fulfill the Legacy mission of making life better for others. ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the pharmacy manager, prepares the work schedule for pharmacy technicians. Coordinates daily workflow of pharmacy technicians. Develops and implements a comprehensive training program for pharmacy technicians. Coordinates the investigation of medication errors. Oversees the investigation and reporting of narcotic discrepancies. Serves as a system administrator for the pharmacy automated medication dispensing system (AMDS) and CII Safe. Ensures daily operations are completed with regard to IV admixture, billing and inventory management while adhering to policies and procedures.QualificationsEducation: High school graduate or equivalent. Experience: Twenty-four (24) months experience in a hospital inpatient pharmacy. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Skills/Knowledge:Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written. Accepts responsibility and follows through with minimal supervision. Demonstrates initiative and motivation. Ability to perform pharmacy dosage calculations. Computer data entry, basic typing and general office skills.Chemistry, basic mathematics, and medical terminology. Unit dose and/or intravenous admixture delivery systems. Computers: basic Windows functions, Microsoft Word and Excel. Continuous Quality Improvement knowledge preferred.
