  • Nurse to patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 during the night
  • Not required to titrate drips
  • Required to work with Cpap and occasional Bipap
    • Job Requirements
    • Active Oregon License or ability to obtain one
    • BLS certification required
    • First time travelers are acceptable
    • Heparin per protocol knowledge
    • Antibiotic management familiarity
      • Schedule Information
      • 12-hour shifts
      • Day shift: 0645-1915
      • Night shift: 1845-0715
      • Two-week rotation core schedule
      • Manager considers block scheduling
      • No strict call or standby requirements, though may be placed on standby/call up to three times during contract
        • Unit Specific Information
        • The unit is MedSurg with 53 beds
        • Charge nurses do not take assignments
        • Nurse aids have duties such as blood sugars and vital signs
        • Tele monitors are present, RN not required to read tele
        • Patients include cases such as implanted radiation, but charge does any chemo aspects
        • Orientation includes 2 12-hour shifts on the unit
        • Dress code includes black pants and scrub tops (solid or appropriate print)
        • RN aids ratios of 1:9 on Days and 1:11 on Nights
          • Additional Details
          • The facility is open to 90 Day Emergency Licenses
          • Common diagnoses include Pneumonia, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, COVID, stroke, and general surgical overflow
          • Option to go permanent if deemed a good fit
          • Welcoming team with a family feel on the unit
          • No specific experience level required
